Congregation Etz Chayim

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to put an incredible strain on blood collection. There is a critical need for all blood types to meet increasing demand. All donors will get a COVID 19 antibody test.

It’s time for a literary classic: The Etz Bookworms are reading The Magic Barrel, a collection of 13 stories by Bernard Malamud, the winner of the 1959 National Book Award for fiction.

Jessica Bernhardt, the former coordinator of Etz Handworkers, the maker of Etz's chuppah and other Etz ritual items will be giving a brief visual history of quilting around the world including why making quilts has been her passion for the last 20+ years, while touching on the Judaic, philanthropic and social aspects of the quilting world. 

This is an ongoing, drop-in class that is open to everyone looking for a deeper, rational understanding of Torah. No Hebrew skills or Torah study experience are required.

The mission of the Etz Chayim Areivut (Community Responsibility) Committee is to serve as an umbrella committee for the social justice work and social action that members do under the auspices of the congregation. All Etzniks are welcome to be a part of forming this new committee.

We invite all in the 20’s to 30’s crowd to our virtual de-stress candle-lighting via zoom. We will be hosting this event for the duration of Shelter in Place.

Shabbat evening services are held every Friday at 7:30 p.m. and last about an hour and a half. Everyone is welcome to attend the service.

This class is open to everyone looking for a deeper understanding of Torah. No Hebrew skills or Torah study experience are required.
