Preeva Tramiel became interested in as a child going to Family Circle meetings, but did not realize how big a hobby genealogy was until she joined the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Genealogy Society in 2008. She is currently Vice President of the Society. In this talk, she will share some forms and resources to get you started on doing your own family tree and research. Free steps, pay sites, and tree mapping software will be touched upon.

In Hebrew, “sulam” means both a ladder and the notation on a musical staff. A Sulam Service is more spiritually focused in which we sing melodies (either with words or as niggunim) a number of times through, so that we can sink into them. Music will include both new-ish and familiar melodies.
