Come for a restful weekend and take stock of where you are. You'll have the opportunity to meet new women and reconnect with friends; to sing and pray; to study and learn; to laugh and dance. There is time for quiet and time to leisurely sit with friends.  This year's retreat will take place at the Presentation Center, located just off HIghway 17 in Los Gatos. The center has beautiful wooded grounds, a newly remodeled pool and labyrinth, and quality vegetarian and fish meals.  Our rooms are in the dorm this year. Our Scholar-in-Residence will be Rabbi Daria Jacobs-Velde.

On her journey into a deep connection with Judaism, Rabbi Daria lived in Israel and Japan, completed an Ed.M. at Harvard University, a B.A. in Sociology from Brandeis, and was ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.  Through her exploration of the multiple avenues of learning and teaching she worked with learners at many different stages of life, from elementary school at the Columbus Jewish Day School in OH, elementary and high school for 3 years in Japan, and adults and children of different ages in MA, NJ and PA.  Before moving to Sebastopol, she served as co-rabbi at Congregation Ohev Tzedek in Ohio with her husband, Josh. She engages Judaism’s potential through a variety of formats, including bibliodrama, meditation, teaching Hebrew and teaching the transformational spiritual ethical practice of Mussar.

Don't be disappointed - register early to assure yourself a place in this popular program (limited to 36 participants).  Registration is open to members now.  Prices will go up and registration will open to non-members beginning June 1 if spaces remain.  The Congregation never wants money to be a barrier to full participation in our community.  If you would like to attend but feel that you can't afford the full cost, please contact our executive director, Ellen Bob, to make alternative arrangements.
