What is Program Music?   (4 classes)

 

Some of the greatest composers in the history of classical music wrote 

‘Program Music’. What is Program music and what distinguishes it from 

‘Absolute Music’?

In this four-part course we will listen to music by composers such as 

Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Debussy, Schubert, Mahler and discover the 

mystery behind some of their most well-known works. We will also 

explore some of the main musical forms that were practiced by 

composers to write Program music; such as song-cycle, symphonic 

poem and the suite. (Beginners & intermediate).

Single class:          $25 per class

Pre-paid course:   $20 per class (20% discount)

Registration:        All courses require a minimum of 5 registered students. To register students should mail a check to: Dr. Nurit Jugend, 209 Durham St., Menlo Park, CA 94025. Payments should arrive no later than a day prior to the first class. Please include your full name, phone number and email address, or notify me via email: jugend@nuritjugend.com.
