Etz Chayim is co-hosting another evening with the Pacifica Institute to discuss our mutually shared sacred stories. This time we will look at Moses and The Exodus. The story of the Exodus is found in both the Torah and the Qur'an. Moses leadership is central to the formation of the Jewish people and Judaism. He is also the most mentioned prophet in the Qur’an, mentioned 136 times! Join us for this wonderful opportunity to learn together and share about our common lineage while looking at the different ways our sacred texts view Moses and the Exodus story. Wendie Bernstein Lash, Etz Chayim Contemplative Service Leader and Nesrin Hijazi, an independent research professional and a member of the Bay Area Muslim community, will be our guides.
