Michael Chabon's Moonglow weaves together a variety of powerful life stories, including an immigrant grandmother's. Like the characters in the novel, nearly every one of our families has its own immigrant sagas. Whether we know them or not, these stories are fundamental to our lives and to the history of our immigrant nation.
