Neshama Women's Retreat (offsite)

Friday, July 27, 2018 15 Av 5778

4:00 PM - 2:00 PM 1 day after

Drawing on her personal journey, stories, and sacred text, Rabbi Amy Eilberg will explore with us what it means to be "seekers and pursuers of peace" in our own lives. Through a combination of text study, interpersonal exercises, and sharing throughout the weekend, we will explore how each of us can be pursuers of peace within ourselves, in our relationships, in community and as citizens of the world.

Rabbi Amy Eilberg is the first woman ordained as a Conservative rabbi by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. She currently serves as Coordinator of Jewish Community Engagement at Faith in Action Bay Area, helping Jews to deepen their commitment to social justice work, and as a spiritual director. Her book, From Enemy to Friend: Jewish Wisdom and the Pursuit of Peace, was published by Orbis Books in 2014.

This year's retreat will take place at the Jesuit Retreat Center on 38 acres in Los Altos. The center has walking trails and a labyrinth. Each sleeping room has it own bathroom.

Don't be disappointed - register early to assure yourself a place in this popular program (limited to 38 participants).  Registration is open to members only.  Prices will go up beginning June 15 if spaces remain.  The Congregation never wants money to be a barrier to full participation in our community.  If you would like to attend but feel that you can't afford the full cost, please contact our executive director, Ellen Bob, to make alternative arrangements.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
