Mobilizing Anti-Human Trafficking Volunteers

Join the Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition and community partners to learn more about trafficking in the Bay Area. Local service providers and volunteers will present on their organizations' initiatives and share information about how you can help.
Presenters
Freedom House will describe how they utilize volunteers in running shelters for girls and women who are survivors of human trafficking, and advocating for them.
Love Never Fails will share information on providing their Abuse Prevention curricula in local schools.
Julianne Sylva, Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County, will speak about volunteers as advoates for victims of human trafficking.
Sally Lieber, former CA Assembly member, will speak about "The Compact", a community-wide approach to preventing human trafficking at Super Bowl 2016.
Congregation Beth Am Volunteers will discuss the potential impact of buying fair trade products on reducing our "slavery footprint", and ways to promote fair trade awareness.
The YWCA of Silicon Valley will provide information about Faith and Freedom Toolkits for training congregations to respond to human trafficking.
Jeannie Rosenthal from the "Half the Sky" Movement will discuss the Ambassadors program, which provides resources for individuals to take the film to groups and raise awareness.
Meet with these presenters and learn more about the projects you find interesting. Get information, find volunteer opportunities, and join together in the fight to end human trafficking.
