Mitzvah Day Lunch and Movie (Beyt Knesset)

Monday, January 21, 2013 10 Shevat 5773

11:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Join us for a Chinese food lunch and a movie about racial tolerance.  This year's movie, Pride, is a sports-driven drama based on a true story.  Coach Jim Ellis changes lives and shocks his Philadelphia community when, aided by a janitor, he sets out to form the city's first black swim team.  Along the way, he battles rigid rules and racism.  This movie is rated PG and is recommended for children ages 8 and above.  If you'd like to see what Wikipedia has to say about the movie, click here.

Kids with their parents / guardians and adults on their own are welcome.  Please register for this event by midnight Sunday, January 20th so we'll know how much food to buy.  The cost is $7 per person, $3 for children under 7, payable by cash or check at the door.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
