4:00 PM - 12:00 PM 1 day afterSecond Annual Men's Retreat
Legacies: Creating our Legacy
November 6 - 8
The Etz Men’s Retreat will enable greater connection with men at Etz and a sharing of Jewish identity and spiritual experience among male adult members of Etz Chayim. This is an opportunity to establish and deepen friendships with men in the Etz community, and have fun together.
For the second annual retreat, we will be joined for the very first time by our new Rabbi Chaim. He has prior experience working with Jewish Men's groups and looks forward to sharing this time with us.
Our retreat will take place at the Presentation Center, a peaceful oasis tucked among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The 67-acres provides a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and take time to communicate more clearly and deeply with each other, as well as have private time alone. There are other hiking and biking trails off Bear Creek and Skyline roads near the conference center for additional outdoor activities before and after the retreat.
We have reserved cottages with 2 beds per room and a small number of single rooms. Each cottage includes a living room, outdoor deck and modern bathrooms. Cafeteria-style meals are included, and there is 24-hour availability of coffee, tea, and snacks.
Last year's retreat was a great success with 25 men attending and building a strong sense of community!
Don't be disappointed - register early to assure yourself a place in this popular program. The Congregation never wants money to be a barrier to full participation in our community. If you would like to attend but feel that you can't afford the full cost, please contact our executive director, Ellen Bob, to make alternative arrangements.
James Baloun, Jonathan Salzedo, Aaron Schuman, Mitch Slomiak, Bud Wittlin, David Helfinstein, Bruce Richmond, Brian Burns, Martin Griss, Ron Shipper, and Ben Medved an Rabbi Chaim Koritzinsky are organizing the retreat.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
