After the August 17 Friday night service, author Marty Brounstein will speak about southern Holland during the 1940s, tell the story of a heroic family, and discuss his personal connection to an extraordinary history.  Brounstein's most recent book, Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust, features Frans and Mien Wijnakker, who saved the lives of at least two dozen Jews in southern Holland during World War II.  Etz Chayim congregant Roger Margulies provided the illustrations for the book.
