Here is a link to the materials, and a demo of their first lesson: http://www.biblicallanguagecenter.com/hebrew-first-lesson/
Course capacity: About 25 persons, because it so interactive, it must remain small. If we have enough persons interested, they can offer a second 3:30-5:30pm class.
What: The class is held all in Hebrew in a semi-circle with a lot of movement. (Commanding persons and the group around the room "Go to the door. Open the door. Go outside. Close the door. Jump. Stop. Sit. Stand.") The class is perfect for kids and grown-ups alike. It's quite a lot of fun.
Why: A participant will gain comprehension of 200 vocabulary items and structures with direction for continued self-study in the language. Ideally, this course is a jumping off point for a future two week course where we start to read and understand the Hebrew Bible, going through Genesis 1-2, or portions of the book of Jonah or Ruth. It really gets the language in you and people remember it because it is experienced based on the ulpan and TPR models from Israel.
