Mark's Israel mission in February 2025 combined participation in the American Jewish Committee Solidarity Mission with senior government and military leaders, solo days in Tel Aviv and the Gaza Envelope, and culminated in a volunteer week with Sar-El on an IDF logistics base in Southern Israel. Mark met with a wide range of Israeli society from government ministers to taxi drivers to tech professionals to kibbutzniks to soldiers. Each person offered unique perspectives on their journey for peace and security, while being steadfast in getting the hostages home as soon as possible. Mark had the opportunity to observe and gain insights on Israeli society firsthand without filters or intermediaries.
