Fifth Friday Shabbat Service: Legendary Landsmen

7:30 PM - 9:00 PM5th Friday Shabbat Service: Lengendary Landsmen
We will gather for a Legendary Landsmen* Shabbat, featuring the music of Shabtai Zisl ben Avraham and Eliezer ben Nisan ha'Cohen, more commonly known as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. We've mined the poetry of newly minted Nobel Laureate Dylan for songs with themes of social justice and spiritual metaphor. The dearly departed Cohen infused his lyrics with transcendent Jewish imagery. Please join the musicians and singers who will lead this service by singing, praying from your seats, and perhaps even dancing to the end of love.
* "Landsmen" literally means "someone from the same land" and colloquially is used to mean "fellow Jews."
