It’s a wonderful feeling to turn a flat stack of wood into something both useful and beautiful. This will be a casual walk through Jon’s 10-ish year growth as a woodworker. You’ll see some familiar things, some may-become-familiar-soon things, some mechanical things, some published things, and an assortment of other random projects. He enjoys working with hand tools, but is also happy to use woodworking machines or his computer controlled (CNC) router when it’s the right tool for the job. Jon Kaplan is a long time Etz member and a recreational, semi-serious woodworker. With a background in engineering and over forty years of product development experience, building stuff is in his blood and woodworking is a great way to satisfy that need.
