Etznik Talk Finding My Voice: How I Approached My Colleagues about Rising Antisemitism and Anti-Zionism in America with Solomon Moshkevich (online only)

Wednesday, June 26, 2024 20 Sivan 5784

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

A Summary from Solomon about the event:

Many years from now, what will I tell my children and grandchildren, about what I did after October 7 to help protect the Jewish people?

On May 1, I mustered the courage to present to my company - a public company with over 3500 people - about my experience as a Jew in America before and after October 7. I explained what six of the most popular anti-Zionist slogans mean, how they are false and misleading, and why they are so scary for American Jews. I also expressed why the sharp rise in antisemitism is bad for America, drawing the connection with 1930s Germany. Here is the recording (edited to remove company specific information): https://youtu.be/u6NS98ZYEmo

In this Etznik talk, I will detail how I developed the presentation and got corporate leadership comfortable with the idea; the questions and responses I received from my colleagues, including Jews and non Jews; some topics that I cut out from my presentation but still deserve our attention; and how each of us can be empowered to speak up in defense of Zionism and the right of the Jewish state to defend itself by destroying Hamas.
