What’s Jewish for your children? Religious School. Challah. Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Hanukkah. And why does it matter? What does it mean to have a Jewish worldview? How does it get expressed? How do we cultivate it in our children? Come explore your own Jewish practices, ideas and commitments as we wonder together about what being Jewish means to us and how being Jewish can help us make meaning for our children and ourselves. Sue Bojdak is the Director of Education at Congregation Sha’ar Zahav in San Francisco and the Recruitment Coordinator for the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute. Sue has been working in Jewish education for more than 20 years, teaching people of all ages. She holds a BA in Religious Studies from SUNY Stony Brook and an MA in Divinity from theUniversity of Chicago. Sue is also the mother and stepmother of four teens.
