Etz Men's Retreat (Offsite)
Friday, August 3, 2018 • 22 Av 5778
4:00 PM - 2:00 PM 1 day afterFifth Annual Men's Retreat
What is in Your Heart?
August 3 - 5
Each year, the Etz Men’s Retreat provides an environment in which adult males who are part of the Etz Chayim community come together to connect with other men, form and deepen friendships, and have fun together. Last year's retreat continued our track record of building on past successes to create a unique and meaningful experience.
We’re returning to Monte Toyon Camp and Conference Center among the peaceful and majestic redwoods of Aptos, which received uniformly high marks from the 30 men who participated last year. It promises to be another restorative weekend, with chances to hike, play outdoors and take a Shabbat nap as well as reflect, renew and return refreshed with a stronger connection to other men in your Jewish community.
Our theme this year, What is in Your Heart? comes from that Saturday’s Torah portion, Parashat Eikev (Deuteronomy 7:12 - 11:25). Throughout the weekend, we’ll be looking at the covenants, commitments and commandments we individually and collectively live by, and what’s behind them. As always at Etz, belief in G0d is optional!
Your all-included cost is $295 for the weekend – double occupancy.
Scholarships are available for anyone who wants to attend - Nobody will be turned away for inability to pay. Contact Ellen Bob for information.
Wynn Hausser, Clyde Mann, David Helfinstein, Jason Feinsmith, Mitch Slomiak, Aaron Schuman, Bud Wittlin, James Baloun, Ron Shipper and Brian Burns are organizing the retreat.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
