Bubbie, Who Are You?:  Finding the Maiden Names in Your Family Tree

Open new chapters of your family history by uncovering the last names of female ancestors. Female relatives can be difficult to trace, but they can be found. They key to your maternal family branches might be a few clicks away, or hidden in the bottom of a box of old family papers.

This class introduces resources for tracing the women in your family, including family items, oral histories, federal and state census records, immigration records, vital records, church records, journals, newspapers, legal and court records, library archives, and manuscript collections. Janice Sellers, Professional Geneaologist, has done extensive research for private clients and corporate clients such as Bank of American and the City of Oakland.
