W. Warren H. Binford is an internationally recognized children's rights scholar and advocate who holds a tenured position as Professor of Law and serves as the Director of the Clinical Law Program at Willamette University. Professor Binford was a principal witness of the inhumane conditions of children at the detention center in Clint, TX, and helped to bring this issue to the media. Etz and Spark Church are hosting Professor Binford for a multifaith worship service with dinner and a Conversational Q&R Interview. Professor Binford will share from her experiences at the Clint and Ursula Detention Facilities, provide legal explanations and education, and make recommendations as to how we can Amplify the Children's voices and demand change. This event is free and open to all (there is a suggested donation), but please register in advance so we can plan appropriately - we are expecting a capacity crowd for this event.
