AdventurEtz New Year's Day Hike

The hike itself will be relatively short (under 3 mi) and not very much elevation (~700 ft maximum) though there are several short spurs leading to viewpoints along the loop for eager hikers. Our route will be up the Waterfall Loop and returning by means of the Contour Trail.

GoogleMaps gives a driving time of 53 min from Etz (http://goo.gl/maps/0Mpnl) -- therefore the following schedule should work well and permit a bit later start than we usually do.

10:00 am -- carpoolers meet at Etz (plan to arrive 5-10 min early to decide who is driving, etc.)

11:00 am -- everyone meet in parking lot at Uvas Canyon County Park

12:30-1:00 pm -- return to picnic area for lunch (variable time based on interest in Black Rock Falls, Knobcone Point, for example).

Plan on carrying a snack and some water, along with lunch (leave in the cars) for the end of the hike.  We should be able to be back at Etz between 2:30 - 3:00 pm at the latest.

There is a $6 parking fee at Uvas Canyon County Park. There is a machine for credit card which may be easier than cash.
