4 Tuesday evenings, March 4 - March 25, 2014, from 7:20-9 PM at Congregation Etz Chayim, 4161 Alma St, Palo Alto the teachers of these classes will be videotaped and edited for distance learning
Text study will take place at the weekly Etz Chayim Torah study sessions,
Saturday mornings, 9-10 AM, from, March 1-29.
These sessions will not be videotaped

What Christians and Jews want from G0d
What Christians and Jews expect from a Messiah
Getting to Heaven, and
The "Rule and Reign" (laws and majesty) of G0d on earth
Jesus/Yeshua as a Galilean Jew of his time and place
Appreciating Christian and Jewish Biblical texts in general, and as pertain to these topics

***Holy Envy is a phrase coined by Krister Stendahl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krister_Stendahl) from his three rules of religious understanding:
To understand another religion, ask adherents of that religion, not its enemies.
Don't compare your best to their worst.
Leave room for "holy envy." That is, be willing to recognize elements in the other religious tradition that you admire and wish could, in some way, be reflected in your own.
