The primary goal of this series is to help us prepare for our rabbinic search process, which will begin in 2014, by educating our congregants about the different beliefs, practices and rabbinic preparation of each movement.
The sessions are stand-alone and can be attended individually. Each session will include time for discussion and questions from the audience.
Topics covered will include:
- Core tenets, beliefs and practices of each movement
- Current trends and anticipated changes in the next 5 - 10 years
- Rabbinical training in each movement
- Each rabbi's own beliefs and practices
This free series is aimed at Etz congregants, but open to the public.
PLEASE NOTE: This series is NOT an evaluation of potential candidates. The rabbis who are presenting are Bay Area locals who have agreed to help us become more educated and have graciously donated their time.
