In a follow up movie to Yossi and Jagger, director Eytan Fox portrays Yossi, a closeted Tel Aviv cardiologist, who is still grieving the death of his lover, Yagger, who died in his arms during the Lebanon war, 10 years earlier. This film, which highlights Eilat, as well as Tel Aviv, explores the changing perceptions of homosexuality in Israel and in the Israeli army. It captures the youth and rambunctiousness of young Israeli soldiers on leave. It explores the themes of grief, closure, acceptance, and the nascent capacity to make oneself vulnerable to love compassionately. Caution: two short sexual scenes.
