Assist the staff with the bigger mailings. It is chance to schmooze with other volunteers while collating, envelope stuffing, sticking on the labels and postage, etc. Or help with large clerical projects that are more than the staff can handle as part of its day-to-day responsibilities—some of these are one-person tasks and others are team efforts, so tell us if you have a preference.

Many Jewish activities revolve around food! We are always looking for folks who are willing to do baking or cooking for holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, special events, etc.

Act as a bridge between Etz Chayim and other Jewish agencies and organizations and other community organizations.

Help create Shabbat Dinners held from time to time on Friday nights at Etz Chayim before the evening service. Enjoy the camaraderie of the teams that create an occasional communal dinner by setting up, cooking or working with caterers, etc.

• Use your editing and writing skills on congregational publications and/or new webpages.
• Help plan publicity for Etz Chayim events and/or space rental opportunities (more revenue means less pressure on dues!)

Help with occasional shlepping to/from our building and around the building. (Got Van? Truck? If you do, all the better!)

From time to time we need to restock before or after an event or for a special occasion or event.

Help create Fundraising Events that are fun, profitable, and community-building. Or make calls to help raise money. (More revenue means less pressure on dues!)

Help with our Simchat Torah celebration! It's a fun event, with much dancing (and, for the adults, some alcohol...) !  Since Simchat Torah comes at the end of Sukkot, not long after the busy High Holy Days season, it would be nice to know your interest as soon as possible. Be a Service Host or an Usher. Help with mailings. Help with set-up and break-down. Edit the Reflections booklet. Organize or help with the Oneg. The logistics of the High Holy Days services are a huge effort. We always need many helpers, and there are lots of opportunities to choose from!

If you're a maven with websites, computers or AV equipment, help us from time to time with technical advice and assistance.

There are so many ways you can help! Choose from one of these or suggest your own ideas:

• Help decide how to beautify our building and/or grounds, including issues relating to building improvements, art selection, landscaping plans, etc.
• Do gardening or lend your "handyman" skills on small fixes and improvements to our building and grounds (hanging items on walls, paint touchups, basic carpentry, simple plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Participate in periodic Congregational Spruce-up Events.
• Help organize and neaten up places that are prone to clutter or overgrown, etc.

If you have graphic or editorial talents, we'd love your help!

Reach out to New Member families to make them feel welcome to our congregation. It could include offering to join them at services or schmooze with them around religious school or for some other social interaction.

Maintain our Library, by sorting donations, reshelving books, etc.

Kids, get involved with the Tweens group (6th-8th Grades) or our Teens group (High School) to help create and organize the kind of Youth Social events you and your friends like to attend. If you sign up on the form, be sure to tell us how old you are and what grade you're in.
