Our Event Calendar — please tell us your thoughts about this Calendar

	Calendar Guide
	1 - Services & Celebrations This includes not only services but also parties and festivals that are holiday-related, such as Chanukah & Purim party, as well as the Tu biShvat Seder. 2 - Adult / Family Social This includes events designed for adults as well as those designed for the whole family. These are NOT religious or holiday-related social events. For those, see Category 1 - Services & Celebrations. 3 - Youth Social These events are for kids, versus those designed for the whole family. For example, you’ll find our pre-school social program, Zrayim, which is a parent/tot program. You’ll also find our Kadimah program for tweens & teens. However, our 8th grade and Peninsula Havurah High (PHH) programs are listed under Category 5 - Youth Education. 4 - Adult Education 5 - Youth Education This is the calendar for our Religious School and other youth-focused education programs. 6 - Board & Comm Mtgs These are work/planning meetings for Etz Chayim’s committees or groups, as well as the congregation’s board of directors. The fun activities and programs created by those committees and groups will be found in Categories 1-5. 7 - Jewish (Traditional) Calendar - to view, log into Calendar The holidays shown on dates in THIS category may not match the dates shown in Category 1 - Services & Celebrations. This is because at Etz Chayim, we do NOT celebrate every holiday on its "traditional" date of observance — for some holidays, we celebrate on the nearest Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. In the future, this category will also provide (1) the Hebrew date for each day on the calendar, (2) the Counting of the Omer, and (3) the revelant Torah and Haftarah reading for every Shabbat and holiday. If you wouldd like to help prepare that info, please contact the Webmaster 8 - Administrative Info - to view, log into Calendar This category shows you when some rooms are used for a private rental (please avoid intruding). The category also shows when services are lay-led and when our office is closed or has unusual hours. 9 - Internal Admin Info More detailed info is provided here regarding private rentals, as well as info about vendor/repair visits, custodian visits, etc. If you feel you need access to this info, please contact the Webmaster. 10 - Temp / Draft / Semi-Reserved This is used by our administrative staff to make note of temporary “semi-reservations” of events, during the planning process for such events.
